Don Conroy
Artist, Environmentalist, TV Personality and Author
Don Conroy is a charismatic person with a unique style that appeals to both children and adults (or maybe the child in us all!) Don studied life drawing and culture at the National College of Art and Design and then worked as designer and illustrator for advertising agencies as well as in the theatre. Since then he has enjoyed a very successful portfolio career as an artist, environmentalist, TV Personality and author.
Don is perhaps best known to the people of Ireland for his passion for the environment, his appearances as Uncle Don to Zig & Zag (now with Channel 4's Big Breakfast) on RTÉ's The Den, and his own TV series – Paint for Fun. He continues his weekly appearance on the RTE and has started to work more with organisations on creative workshops and as guest speaker. Don’s natural rapport with an audience makes him ideal in delivering lectures, an after dinner speaker or guest speaker.
Don has a wonderful and magical imagination and has written many successful children’s books including Drawing with Don Series, The Witches series and The Sea Trilogy. A keen naturalist, he is actively involved in conservation, a member of the Irish Wildlife Conservancy and many other protection agencies. Don, a well known TV personality can bring some fun and creativity to your team through helping them express themselves through art. He helps teams to realise their potential, unleash creative ideas and have fun together through his interactive art sessions.
Don is increasingly invited as a guest speaker to events throughout the country to talk on the following areas:
Environmental Lectures: •Greening the corporate brand •Environment issues as part of CSR Programme
Art Classes: Don Conroy has a unique skill in teaching people to find and use their artistic sides. This exercise is very popular for corporate incentive weekends or as part of a motivational programme.
