Anna Nolan
Television Presenter and Runner up on Channel 4's Big Brother

Anna Nolan first came to our television screens in 2000, when she was a contestant on the very first Big Brother. Since then, she has worked non-stop in television, for Channel 4, BBC and RTE in Ireland.
 
Before her work in television, she worked in the banking industry - in Foreign Exchange, in the Treasury dept, and within Human Resources.

After being thrown in at the deep end immediately after Big Brother, presenting “TFI Friday” for Channel 4, she then co-presented the television programme “Closure” with Davina McCall, for the BBC. They went on to work together for another series.  Meanwhile she began filming the documentary series “Anna in Wonderland”, for the BBC. This show saw her travel the world for 2 years filming with weird and wonderful people, from Pastor Phelps - the extreme homophobic preacher in Kansas, to “Furries” - people who thought they were half animal, half person.

Anna returned to Ireland to front the popular lifestyle series “Ask Anna”.  From there she took on the role of reporter for the documentary series “Would You Believe”, a series that deals with human interest stories. In 2004, daytime television beckoned, and she began to co-present “The Afternoon Show” -  a daily live show. After two successful years on the flagship programme, she returned to front the series “Would You Believe”.

Anna has a warm, inquisitive, witty presence. She combines her television work with writing for the Irish Independent Newspaper. Anna is about to go into production for a new RTE documentary.
